How To Get Rid Of San Bernardino Moles In Yard With Juicy Fruit Gum

Moles are small animals that can cause quickly, extensive damage on the lawn by its extended tunneling underneath. Their tunnels makes ridges, popping up in the yard, as well as open holes with cone-shaped dirt surrounding where the mole pops in and out. They have to be rid of, but how should they rid of is the question. There are various methods of getting rid of California moles, but some are expensive and some are just dangerous. An odd option would be the use of chewing gum, but even though it has not been totally proven to work, many people say it does work.

First of all, some people may have either forgotten about Juicy Fruit gum or even didn’t know it was still around. Since 1893, Wrigley’s yellow wrapping paper is still sold on aisles with its mix of peach-pineapple (reportedly) flavor made from sugar, corn syrup, natural and artificial sweeteners, and others as a preservative. It became a popular chewing gum quickly, especially for those under the age of 20 and for World War II soldiers, which took the gum off the market for that time. Using different poisons and chemicals may kill San Bernardino moles but will also kill the garden as well. Anything that is living underground will die including roots to the grass and plants and it may seep to the surface. Trapping moles is another idea, but it takes a lot of time (and patience) and it won’t do any good by just sitting there. So where does that leave gum? It is non-poisonous which helps, but what does it do to get rid of moles? With gum, they are sticky and extremely difficult to get off cleanly, and Juicy Fruit has an attractive taste to it. Moles are unaware of what gum does, so they will learn the hard way and find themselves stuck the gum. If they can still move, they will go far away from the scent of it.

First, cut the sticks of the Juicy Fruit up into small pieces. Find a mole tunnel or dig a small one up that a mold could run into when it digs around with a small shovel. Do this without completely disturbing the soil or the exposed tunnel and put the cut piece into the hole. Cover it back up but without blocking the tunnel so the California mole doesn’t suspect it has been found. Repeat in several locations over the whole yard where the tunnels can be found and simply keep an eye for any disturbance. Moles can be a problem for a yard and its owner. The tunneling causes a lot of problems and makes unattractive ridges across lawns and damage roots, killing them. Plants and flowers could also be killed and completely distort the soil’s surface. San Bernardino moles are always active, looking for food and never hibernating. With their extensive tunneling and creation of paths across all routes underground, it is essential to take care of the problem now.
